Short Bio

Hi, I am Lingxiao Xun (荀凌霄). I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Institut des Systèmes Intelligents et de Robotique (ISIR), Sorbonne University, where I joined the RPI-Bio team in April 2024.

Before that, I completed my PhD at Inria Lille (CRIStAL laboratory), under the supervision of Alexandre Kruszewski and Gang Zheng. This PhD was awarded the best PhD thesis award by the CNRS research group on robotics for the year 2024.

Prior to my PhD, I obtained an engineering degree in robotics from Arts et Métiers ParisTech.

My research interests broadly lie in the modeling, simulation, and control of soft and continuum robotic systems. I am particularly interested in geometrically consistent modeling of deformable robots, contact mechanics for robot–environment interaction, and optimization-based methods for control and estimation of high-dimensional robotic systems. These approaches are applied to medical robotics, surgical simulation, and robot-assisted interventions.

I am always open to research discussions and collaborations. Please feel free to reach out to me!
